On November 29th, join us in a nationwide day of action to opt out of Black Friday and opt outside on “Green Friday”.
Black Friday has become a symbol of overconsumption and overproduction, perpetuating the disconnection between how these actions result in harmful effects on ourselves and the earth.
Green Friday is the counter-movement rooted in the desire to increase environmental compassion through mindfulness and experiential learning. The movement was started in 2015 by Save the Redwoods League to connect people with California’s outdoors for the first time or to rekindle their love.
This Friday, join me for a special Green Friday edition of Creatures of the Lost Forest. For this special Green Friday event, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to organizations connecting people to the land.
50% will be donated to Trust for Public Land, a nonprofit dedicated to creating public parks and protecting land, especially in or near cities.
50% will be donated to the Save The Redwoods League, a conservation nonprofit currently partnering with Kashia Band of Pomo Indians to provide permanent cultural access to their sacred grounds.
